Original Zydequarium I

cover by Alan McConchie

Stale Urine's Original Zydequarium I comprises the best of SU's live recordings, unreleased studio recordings, and other rarities (including Stirling's cover of ``The Third Rail'') up to the beginning of 1996.

The first side is in rough chronological order, beginning with a murky excerpt from the first known recording of SU, continuing through SU's successful summer 1995 concert series, and ending with SU's PBS appearance, the Stirling cover, and a bit of Cageian fun.

Side two documents the triumphant reunion of the original six members of Stale Urine in the July, 1995 concert in Seattle.

Original Zydequarium I includes the never-before-released SU originals 1776 and Hello, Mr. Bicyclist!, the popular hip-hop From the Air, as well as several new covers. Fans will also be pleased to own SU's first color cover (above), an essay by Mark Benedetti, and a vivid review of the Seattle concert by Pete Dussin.
